1. monitor [ˈmɒnɪtə] n. 班长；监督员

2.start [stɑːt]

①n. 开始；开端beginning 可数名词 a good start

②v. 发生; 开始 start doing sth.=start to do sth.

start/begin with 以…..开始；从…..开头

It’s the start of the new term.现在是新学期的开始。

3.I‘d like to be 想成为 = I want to be

4. get on well with sb.与某人相处融洽=get along well with sb.11.

How do you get on with your classmates?

（询问与某人处得如何，用how提问） 怎样

5.do well “做得好”，

do well in..．表示“在某方面做得好”，=be good at +n./pron./v-ing

6.kind

①adj. 善良的，亲切的，和蔼的 be kind to sb.对某人亲切/和气/友好

②n.种类，类别 a kind of 一种 all kinds of 各种各样的

7.ready to do sth. 乐于做某事; 准备好做某事 be/get ready for sth.

8.others 代词 泛指其他的人或物，其后不可以跟名词。相当于一个名词

常与some连用，构成some ……, others ……“一些…….另一些…….”

others=other +可数名词复数 泛指其他人或物(没有限定范围）

the others =the other +可数名词复数 特指（剩余的）其他的人或物

10.promise [‘prɒmɪs]

（1）v.承诺; 保证

①promise (not) to do sth.承诺/保证（不）做某事（事还未做)

②promise (not) doing sth 承诺/保证（没）做过某事

③promise sb. sth.＝promise sth. to sb. 承诺/保证某人某事

④promise （sb.） ＋ that从句，承诺/答应……

（2）n. 许诺

①make a promise/promises to sb 向某人许诺

②keep/break one’s promise遵守/打破诺言

11.enjoy动词，意为“享受；喜欢”，常用于以下结构：

enjoy sth.

enjoy doing sth．喜欢做某事

enjoy oneself“玩得愉快”，= have a good time/have fun

15.do+(the/some) +动词的-ing形式，表示“做某事”，

16.tidy [‘taɪdi]

tidy up 使整洁

keep sth. tidy保持…..整洁

17.be sure +that从句表“确信、对……有把握”that可省略

be sure of/about sth.确信…(说话人的信念)

be sure to do sth一定…(说话人的推测)

18.just like 正如；正像

19.fly [flaɪ]

vt. （flew [fluː]）放飞（风筝） fly kites/fly a kite 放风筝

vi. 飞，飞行；乘飞机；飞逝 fly to… 乘飞机去…..
