Ⅰ. worth可用作名词或形容词，作名词时，意为“价值”，无复数形式；也可解作“值一定金额的数量” 如：

Nobody knew the true worth of his work.

没有人知道他的工作的真实价值。

Give me one yuan’s worth of apples.

给我一元钱的苹果。

worth 作形容词时，只能用作表语，不能作定语，其后常跟钱数或相当于钱的词，表示：“值多少钱”；跟动词的-ing 形式，表示“值得（做）……”。如：

The pen is worth 5 yuan.

这支钢笔值5元钱。

The book is worth reading twice.

这本书值得读两遍。

This idea is well worth considering.

这个想法很值得考虑。

What is worth doing is worth doing well.

值得干的事就得干好。

sth. is worth sth./doing

The museum is certainly worth a visit.

=The museum is certainly worth visiting.

这个博物馆的确值得参观。

⭐️注意：be worth后可接名词，代词或动名词，不能接不定式，且接动名词时，总是用主动形式表示被动意义。

Ⅱ. worthy 是形容词，意为“值得的；值得尊敬的”，主要用作表语，后跟of，再接名词或动词-ing的被动形式。worthy 后也可跟不定式（如表被动意思须接不定式的被动语态）。

sth. be worthy of sth./being done

sth. be worthy to be done

His behavior is worthy of praise.

他的行为是值得赞扬的。

The question is worthy to be discussed.

这个问题值得讨论。

This grammar book is worthy of being read.

这本语法书值得一读。

III. worthwhile adj. 值得做的。既可以做表语又可以作定语。worthwhile 可以有三种书写形式：

worthwhile, worth while, worth-while.

作定语时，通常要合写一词或用连字符。

It’s a worthwhile (worth-while) storybook.

这是一本值得一读的故事书。

It is worth while to read the book.

这本书值得一读。

It is worthwhile doing sth./ to do sth.

干某事是值得的

It is worthwhile discussing the question again.

=It is worthwhile to discuss the question again.

这个问题值得再讨论一遍。

His suggestion is worth our consideration.

His suggestion is (well) worth considering.

It is worth considering his suggestion.

His suggestion is worthy of consideration.

His suggestion is worthy to be considered.

His suggestion is worthy of being considered.

It is worth while considering his suggestion.

It is worth while to consider his suggestion.

To consider his suggestion is worth our while.

Considering his suggestion is worth our while.
