(1)Different from other bad weather images, such as fog image and hazy images, sand-dust image is usually in a color deviation image with overall yellowing tone. Therefore, for sand-dust image enhancement, it should address two problems: color correction and dust removal. For this reason, I think authors should review the related methods for colors correction of dusty images, and discuss the advantage and disadvantage of each reviewed method.
(2)I don’t think it is necessary to re-describe the detail of Dark channel prior based method. Therefore authors are suggested to simply the description of Section 2.
(3)I believe that the authors did not state all the mathematical equations regarding the proposed method (please check carefully).
(4)The definition of some variables that are related to the stated mathematical equations is missing (please check carefully).
(5)The author should provide a pseudo-code that describes the implementation specifics exactly (i.e. which equations are computed for each step) for the proposed method.
(6)The authors should state the shortcomings of the proposed method.
(7)The authors should use some advanced and specialized IQA metrics to evaluate their results.
(8)The authors need to compare their proposed method with more modern i.e. (latest) methods.
(9)The implementation times of the proposed and the comparative methods must be given.
(10)The authors should well-elaborate the results of their findings. The provided discussions are insufficient.
(11)The authors should discuss the real-life applications of the proposed method.
(12)More 2018 and 2019 related works should be reviewed. Part example are list as:
